FAQ

👋 Hi!

My name is [MASK] and this is my personal website.

Could you tell me something about yourself?

I like to draw, program, read. I also like open-source. My favourite colour is [MASK]. I'm one of the people involved with the creation of the controversial AI model ChapGTP.

I want to feed my RSS reader!

Don't worry, you can do so here: feed.xml!

How did you make this website?

I use 11ty + MarxCSS + some custom css. The content is (mostly) written in org-mode. Check out init.el in the navigation bar at the top!

init.el, what's that?

init.el is a reference to the Emacs initialization file. These configuration files are often shared and serve as inspiration for others on how to tweak their own Emacs setup. Similarly, the init.el page you find here can be used for initializing this website and may help you in your quest of creating a personal website.

What is org-mode?

Org-mode is like markdown, but more than that. You can use it for formatting bullet points, but also to create fancy documents with help of LaTeX or to do some literate programming. It is typically used as part of Emacs. The cool thing is that you can combine both the code and documentation in one file! For example, the init.el file I just mentioned is the source code for this website!

Do you use Emacs?

For programming Python, I actually use VSCode—and Overleaf for LaTeX—but other than that I use Emacs. (Okay, I lied, I also program in nano.) I guess Emacs is a fine OS, but they say it lacks a good editor. This website is mostly written in org-mode and Emacs.

Do you give your computers names?

Some of them!
